"Send me your copy...I'll send you back some lightning."

There is just no substitute for experience. With over 40 years as a voice actor...over 30 years with AFTRA/SAG...I'd like to say I've done it all. Then a new job will pop up and I'm asked to do something completely different. And that is the absolutely best thing about being a voice actor. As a young lad, I delighted in mimicking my favorite cartoon characters… and their accompanying sound effects… much to my parent’s horror. Convinced I’d grow out of my “cartoon phase” when I grew up, mom and dad received another shock. Not only did their son continue to multiply his cartoon voices… but also he expanded his repertoire of character voices with his almost unlimited range.

While commercial radio production was my daily driver, my real goal to be an elite character voice was realized when I was tagged to voice multiple Emmy Award winning projects for Oscar winning director Will Vinton..including the legendary California Raisins. Although I still hunger for character-driven animation projects, most of my work today centers around English language learning projects, corporate narration projects, radio imaging, audiobooks, and commercials. The audio quality of my work will knock your socks off...if you wear socks. If you need help fine-tuning your scripts into perfect native-speaker English, my copywriting skills will come in awfully handy. And you will be stunned at the speed at which I can return your audition or project to you from my home studio. Send me some copy, give me some direction, tell me the format you'd like it in, and I will send you send you back some lightning. www.imagingvoice.com.

 Training

As mentioned above...I started out as a child, imitating my favorite cartoon characters, with the eventual goal of becoming one. Which I did. You can see the groundbreaking Claymation and animation projects I voiced at my site: www.imagingvoice.com. Add to that some 40+ years in radio broadcasting, radio theatre, and radio commercial production, including seminars with the absolute God of broadcast production: Dick Orkin. I furthered my training over the years in theatre and later, audiobook narration with masterclass instructor and mentor Pat Fraley. My audio engineering and production skills I gleaned on the job over decades in radio and home studio projects. My copywriting skills came naturally to me and I ended up leading other broadcast seminars in the fine art of copywriting. Of course, having a mom who was an English, Theatre, and Public Speaking teacher didn't hurt.

 Experience

Well, over 40 years experience must be good for something. My voice has been heard in many places...from english language learning in Hungary (Go! Angol) to imaging for Isaac 98.1 in Trinidad, to commercials for Jeep in Brazil, to projects for Conoco Phillips, Apple, Fred Meyer grocers, Viacom, Texas Instruments, Hamilton Bright, and an unspeakable amount of others. But as Production and Imaging Director for Portland's biggest Newstalk radio station...let's very conservatively say I voiced 3 spots per day. That's 15 per week. That's 750 spots per year. And after 14 years...well...you get the idea. In addition to a flood of commercial experience, I've done audiobooks, imaging, cartoons, corporate narration, industrial voiceovers, movies, TV, and numerous Emmy award winning projects for Oscar winning director Will Vinton. Drop by my website and you can see and hear them all: www.imagingvoice.com.

 Specials

Spending some 40 years in radio production means I know my way around an editing platform. Although I was raised on splicing tape, razor blades and grease pencils, I'm now a master audio editor on the Adobe Audition platform. If you need me to edit, sweeten, condense, remove stuff, or delete sneezes, well you've come to the right place. Please don't send me any sneezes to delete via the mail, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.

Also...if you have a project that requires an old wizard...rather, the VOICE of a wizard, just ask. I'm already an old wizard...I just meant the voice.

You can direct me in studio via FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, or Source Connect.
