I won a Joey Award from the San Jose Film and Video Commission for a PSA I recorded for the American Lung Association's Smoking Cessation program.
I also won a Joey Award for News Broadcast, Television, Single Story for a Series on the Homeless called "Forget-Me-Nots: What it Feels Like to Be Homeless."
Training
I recorded voiceovers nightly in my work as a live, Television News Reporter. I recorded the voiceovers for all of my stories - both hard news stories and features. I also voiced specials, mini-documentaries and documentaries on a wide range of subjects from education to the homeless.
I did 3 live shots nightly - reporting live on location, and also provided reports in studio when needed. I covered everything from natural disasters: floods and wild-land fires to local politics and community events. I have a legal background (former litigator) and I used that expertise to cover crime and the courts in addition to doing general assignment reporting.
I have taken Voiceover classes and have studied privately with numerous coaches to study:
Narration, Commercial, Audio Description, Live Announcing, On Air Hosting, Dubbing and Audio Editing.
