"A rich, male voice with a wide range of tones and characters."

A rich, warm, male voice. A fairly neutral southern English accent with a hint of Estuary which I can dial up or down depending on client needs. Versatility is my greatest asset for your voiceover needs. I can give gravitas and weight to your serious narration; lend a friendly tone to explainers, guides and presentations; and perform characters for audiobooks, games or adverts.

 Training

I completed voice training at the National Broadcasting School, where I worked with voice coach Judith Phillips, who is now Head of Voice at LAMDA.

 Experience

I spent many years as a radio newsreader and reporter, mostly at Sky News, consistently reading live bulletins faultlessly and to time. I also appeared on camera at Sky, reading digital news headlines and as an on-camera reporter for the technology show Swipe. My background in journalism also means I am used to meeting deadlines. Reflecting my versatility, I also performed improvised comedy on stage for five years as part of Brighton group Off the Cuff, including monthly residencies and appearances at the Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe festivals. This means I can give you everything from serious to light in my tone, with a wealth of characters and accents. I also sing and play guitar, so I have a good ear for pitch and tone and can transition my vocal range from bass to a solid falsetto.
