Shivani S
I’m a professional voice-over artist working in Indian English and Hindi, with a naturally grounded voice that leans low and carries a subtle huskiness. My tone delivers authority for corporate narrations and documentaries, while also allowing nuance and warmth for conversational or expressive scripts. I work across corporate, documentary, radio, and audiobook projects, tailoring each read to the script and context to ensure the message connects clearly and effectively.
Training
I trained in voice-over and dubbing at Mirage Film Institute, Chennai, covering commercials, IVR, audiobooks, and documentaries. The program included focused training in breath control, modulation, pacing, microphone technique, and lip-sync dubbing. I also studied the Navrasa (Nine Emotions) approach, applying it to scripts to expand emotional range and expression.
Experience
I have voiced projects for both Indian and international clients, including Art of Living UK, Asian Fashion Store UK, Vow for Girls, EverLights, Newmat India, TrucksUp, SATO, and Save the Children India, among others. One of my most meaningful assignments has been voicing a documentary on the Indian Army’s Tri-Services all-women circumnavigation initiative - the first mission of its kind in the world. I am also proud of projects with a social impact focus, such as creating educational content in Hindi and English for HOHO Technology to support severely marginalized communities in India, and campaigns for global nonprofits.
Specials
I have an intermediate understanding of post-production for voice-over, gained through my filmmaking work. I use tools like compression, EQ, and other plugins in DaVinci Resolve Studio to enhance recordings and deliver polished, professional audio.
