I am a New-England based Voiceover Artist. I studied acting in college, but made a professional turn when I had a calling to public health. I spent 20 years in the field, providing community health education, and helping vulnerable people improve access to health care services. I found VO through a digital storytelling project, and it was an instant match. In VO, I found that I was able to bridge my acting background and professional experience.
My scope and ability as a Voiceover Artist is layered. My time in public health makes me your go-to choice for medical narration. I'm also a professor, which I lend to e-learning and other educational projects. My first loves, acting and theater, come to life in commercial VO and comedic vignettes of any kind. I am also a mom of two daughters and enjoy K-12 narration projects. I am also a natural, friendly conversationalist with a passion for customer service, and bring my superb communication skills to telephony projects.
I am a Voiceover Artist with experience, wisdom and heart. Contact me today about your VO project!
Training
I have had the privilege of studying with a variety of fantastic voice acting coaches. I have worked one-on-one with Tia Marlier of VO Pep Talk, Emmy Award Winning Director, Voice Actor and Coach Kelly McGee, and respected Coach, Dave Walsh. I have also taken group classes with JC Hazes of NH Tunes, Lisa Biggs of Dream Bigg, Alyson Steel, Julie Williams, Wren Ross, Debra Sperling and Roger Becker.
At the core of my work in voice acting is my Bachelor's degree in drama from Vassar College, which I earned in 2002. While at Vassar, I also studied at the London Dramatic Academy, where I developed my acting technique, and fell in love with voice acting.
In addition to voice acting training, I have studied audio editing with Larry Hudson of of VO Heaven (Audacity) and "Uncle" Roy Yokelson of Antland Productions (Audacity and Adobe Audition).
I have also taken business classes with Maria Pendolino and studied the art of branding with Celia Siegel.
Training and coaching are lifelong investments for me. Currently, I am working toward a K-12 narration demo, which will build and showcase skills that complement my commercial demo. I look forward to training with additional coaches who will help me to grow and evolve as a voice actor, further refining my technique. I am an avid learner; I seek to continually grow and improve in my craft, so I am able to deliver an exceptional product to all of my customers.
Experience
My achievements in voiceover to date include the completion of an audio book for Learning Ally, the voice of a 90-year-old grandma for a product video, and the voices of Marvel characters Black Widow, Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman for a series of short stories.
I have also been the voice of a physician (avatar) for a health care screening video and narrated characters in an internal/corporate fire safety video, and voiced internal/corporate orientation webinars, among other niche projects.
My expertise and purpose in VO is giving voice to important messages and missions. The mission may be to tell a story, to educate or to keep employees safe; I deliver the message with clarity, integrity and quality.
