Sarah Colton
My voice has a unique youthful sound with underlying strength and charisma. Due to my musical theater background, I'm able to use my voice to efficiently convey a wide range of meaning and emotion that draw the listener in. I'm an excellent communicator and highly organized. I enjoy working with my clients and have been told I have a certain "nail-it-ness" when it comes to incorporating notes and direction into my read. Lastly, I have a state of the art home studio right here in my home, allowing me to provide a quick turnaround for last minute projects.

Training
My undergrad was in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. My mentor throughout my college years drilled a mindset into me that my voice is not just an instrument, it's an experience. Draw the listener in. Engage. Don't let them go. As I've branched into the word of Voice Over I've been fortunate enough to work with the best of the Biz - Lisa Biggs, Don Baarns, PJ Ochlan, Andi Arndt, Jeffrey Kafer to name a few - in order to develop my skills.
Experience
The audiobook industry has been particularly great to me - to date I've recorded around 160 titles working with USA Today, NYT, and WSJ best selling authors. I've been an Independent Audiobook Award finalist twice, I won a 2019 Listener Award for a Sci-Fi titles I performed in 2019, and I'm a finalist in the 2021 Sultry Listeners Awards for my work in Urban Fantasies. I've also worked with Orange Theory, and online English teaching company and Blackwing Creative for E-learning and commercial projects.
Specials
I perform several accents and dialects: General British, Yorkshire, Cockney, Scottish, Irish, Russian, French and a couple others as needed. I'm a classically trained Singer.
