Marissa Keltie

As an experienced and dedicated voiceover artist, I'm a station voice for BBC Scotland and I've worked on projects for clients including Scottish Power, the NHS, the Scottish Government, Johnnie Walker Whisky, and Universal Music Group. I am flexible to meet the demands of clients, and can produce final recordings at short notice with quick turn-around times either via my home studio or at several other broadcast quality studios within my network.
My vocal age range is 18-50 and my vocal tone is Clear, Friendly and Warm.

I feel that an authentic Scottish accent that is warm and friendly can be an amazing asset to many different types of work. I feel I excel well at jobs that require a level of sincerity - people tell me there is great level of truth and believability in my voice. I am also adaptable to change my voice style to suit lots of different jobs.

I am also a professional singer, musician and songwriter and have 15 years of experience in studios and behind a microphone.

 Training

Alongside training as a singer and classical musician at University, I also took lessons with an acting tutor for 3 years. I was never that comfortable in front of the camera but discovered where I was most comfortable was behind a microphone, both using my voice as a singer and as a VoiceOver artist.
Since then I have built a career as a VoiceOver artist, Singer and Musician. I have 15 years experience in the industry and love what I do!

 Experience

I have been a go-to female voice at the Scottish Government for a number of years, not just for internal jobs but for major campaigns. I was the voice of the 'We Thank You' campaign that went out to millions of people during the coronavirus and I was also the voice of the 2022 Census Campaign used on TV, Radio and Spotify for a number of months. I am also a regular station voice for BBC Scotland.

I trained at University as a classical musician. Since graduating with a BMUS (hons) degree I have made my living as a singer/songwriter and VO artist.

My songs with pop band, 'The Eves', have been played on thousands of radio stations worldwide and featured on BBC Radio's playlist for 5 weeks. As a pianist, my composition 'River and Reign' got to Number 1 in the iTunes Classical chart in February 2022.
