 Experiencia

After years of not having been in VO, I am just now able to get back to focus on VO. I wanted to get the foundation right first and get back into the swing of things.
I have been getting professional coaching in multiple genres, built my home-studio, got my professionally produced demo done and am working with an agent in LA.

I have a background in radio in Germany and in the US, in front of the mic as well as in Programming, Marketing and Sales.

I still use my nickname from my radio days .. Quiet Fire … given to me by Radio Hall of Fame icon Hal Jackson during my time at WBLS / WLIB radio in New York City. It represents my personality, but also my voice.. International & smoky smooth.
I have a unique voice texture with a little bit of a natural grit, rasp & gravel.

I grew up trilingual (English/German/Spanish) so my American accent is very unique, and not quite identifiable by region and it sets me apart. It is a little bit of New York mixed with International flair.
I often get asked where I am from, as people can't quite pinpoint the accent. It's very ambiguous, as I am I.

When I was in NY radio, I put voiceover on the back burner, as in those days, my funky accent was frowned upon. I had a very successful career behind the scenes in radio, primarily in Programming, Marketing & Sales. I occasionally voiced commercials for my direct & small business clients, and that way, I was able to keep a foot in the field I loved so much.

I left radio to start my own business, Quiet Fire Ent, became a tour manager for major bands and traveled the world for a decade.
I've just recently made the jump back to my first love, voiceover, and I am ready to get back to it, like I never left! I am now focusing on it full time, spending a lot of time training with renowned coaches.

My German is "Hochdeutsch" with a touch of Bavarian influence.
I first started voiceover and radio at Radio W1, then Radio Gong and Radio Charivari in Germany, where I voiced commercials and also worked as a reporter.
I went to University in Munich, Germany and graduated with a degree in Political Sciences and Economics, while working at Bayerischer Rundfunk, in both radio and TV.

I offer both English and German services here on Bodalgo, as I am fluent in English and German (native speaker with dual citizenship USA/Germany) and have been trained in both. I also speak Spanish and French (proficient / colloquial)

I am basically the Modern United Nations of Voiceover personified and I want to bring that flavor to your project, whether it is a commercial spot, promo, narrating a documentary or corporate explainer video, radio or podcast imaging, or non-fictional audiobooks!

I have a home studio, I am Source Connect certified, proficient in editing audio and able to deliver a professional product. My turnaround time is pretty quick, depending on the timezone. I am in PST (Los Angeles, CA)

 Características

I hold dual citizenship Germany / US and can therefore legally work in all of EU and the United States.

I have a background in radio, On-Air, as well as in marketing in Germany and the United States, which is giving me a great advantage in the world of Voiceover, as I understand marketing, client needs, how to write and interpret copy and how to relay messages to the consumer.
