I am a classically trained British actor (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London). I emigrated to Australia for 24 years and returned in 2003. I have worked in TV (main cast 'Neighbours' - Australian soap), feature and short film, including lead roles, and theatre in both Australia and the UK. I bring this extensive acting background to my work as a voice actor who loves being directed and working with others, but is equally happy to self-direct. My natural voice is RP (standard British), with Australian voices as my secondary identity! I trained as an actor at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, then emigrated to Australia two years later. I continued to do workshops in voice and learning accents, including studying phonetics as a mature age student at Macquarie University, Sydney. I have basic editing skills gained through one-to-one sessions with Rob Bee, and online videos via Gravy for the Brain. I outsource long-form editing when it is necessary.

My background in acting in all genres has been the backbone of my work as a voice actor, which I began in 1995 in Australia, when I began narrating educational video and comedy animation roles, and documentary narration with SBS TV, Sydney. After returning to the UK in 2003 I developed my skills as an audiobook narrator, working both from my own studio and in-house with publishing companies such as Ulverscroft, Harper Collins, W.F.Howes and Hachette. At the same time I have been developing my work as a corporate and commercial 'story teller', not only in straight reads but using many accents, and both my own and older voices. I have recorded animation with CBBC online, given straight reads and created characters in E-learning, for museum guides and for local radio commercials, and narrated corporate films for International Talent Support (Fashion film) and online video commercials for companies such as DHL Express .

I have worked in recording studios in Oxford and London, as well as from my own professional studio. I can easily access Sheffield, London, Manchester and other UK cities. My main recording software is Twisted Wave, which I use together with iZotope RX 9, Waves Renaissance Vox (R-Vox) and Waves L2 Ultramaximizer for basic editing. I have a professional-standard, anechoic recording booth and enjoy being directed by platforms of the clients choice such as Cleanfeed.
