Carolyne Leys is a Scottish-American actress and voiceover artist based in New York City. Her native dialect is North American, but as a dual-citizen, she also has a natural proficiency with Scottish dialects. Carolyne loves learning new accents, and some of her favorite to perform are Cockney, Received Pronunciation, estuary English, Southern American, Russian, and New York. Carolyne enjoys broadening her voice's capabilities in her narration work and onstage, where she often performs Shakespeare, with "fairy" and "witch" both appearing on her resume.
As an audiobook narrator, some of Carolyne's favorite genres to narrate are historical mystery, dark fantasy, and new adult fiction. She has been trained in Linklater, Alexander Technique, and classical singing. She earned her BFA in Theatre and Performance at Emerson College.
Formação
I earned my BFA in Theatre and Performance from Emerson College, where Linklater Technique was our foundation in voice. I have taken voiceover classes with Andy Roth, Pam Goldman, and Barry Shapiro. I took voiceover lessons in various styles ranging from legit, jazz, musical theatre and contemporary for 10 years. I also studied Alexander Technique with Bette Chamberlin.

I narrated a book with Hachette called Pretty Bitches, a feminist essay anthology! As a theatre actor, I have worked frequently with The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Recent TV includes Evil Lives Here (iD Network).
