A seasoned, intelligent American male voice over for corporate presentations, e learning, and explainer videos. Attuned to the subject matter and the audience, bringing them together in an engaging manner, the basic approach a friendly conversation among equals who share a common interest. When appropriate, a level of enthusiasm which can rise to inspirational in the case of employee motivation or new product introduction. But never hard sell.
Complex subject matter, such as medical or professional explainers and tutorials, are given the extra attention needed to assure proper pronunciation of clinical terms and accepted use of specialist jargon.
Formation
My B.S. in Journalism with a minor in advertising and marketing led to more than 20 years on air in radio and television news in two major markets. On the job training is the best way to describe it.
At the same time, I produced and voiced radio commercials and promos for both news and entertainment programming during major ratings periods and provided voice over narration for corporate clients.
Expérience
Twenty years on air experience in radio and television stations, first in Pittsburgh, then for the majority of my broadcast career in Philadelphia.
That daily fast pace helped develop a true understanding of deadlines and the necessity of meeting them. A five year stint of presenting hourly newscasts on Philadelphia’s leading music and news station added to my understanding of how to communicate when heard but not seen.
Voice over narration clients included Provident Mutual Life Insurance, Rohm and Haas, and Aramco Oil.
When Hewlett Packard launched its HP Enterprise Solutions cloud based services for business, I voiced the AV presentation made to an international audience flown into San Francisco for the event.
Particularités
Some audio mixing and mastering may be provided when needed, as well as basic video editing. My focus at this time, though, is on voice over.
