I typically portray a diverse range of character types, including strong, heroic protagonists with a commanding presence, as well as high-status figures like femme fatales and queens, bringing an appropriate sense of power and authority to each role. My voice also suits quirky and humorous sidekicks, bringing a unique charm to comedic roles. Additionally, I excel at voicing young male characters as well as portraying warm, supportive mentors and narrators.
Formation
I have been performing on various stages since the age of six, including plays, musicals, and improv. My love of the stage led me to join my high school’s competitive Oral Interpretation Team, which is defined as the study of literature through performance. I spent my days working on script and character analysis, choreography, and vocal techniques for myself and my team mates to prepare for each weekend at UIL Theatre Tournaments, to better train myself in the use of body and voice to interpret different types of literary material. My focus in these UIL competitions was on Dramatic Interpretation as well as Duet/Duo, and I also competed regularly in the Poetry, Prose, and Humorous Interpretation categories. I then went on to compete at the state level and was inducted into the National Forensics League (now the National Speech and Debate Association) in 2004.
After years of working on theatre, web series, and various short films both in front of and behind the camera, I stepped into the world of voice over in 2018. With my versatile range, I have since lent my voice to numerous animations, video games, and commercial projects. Bringing with me years of experience, I use my knowledge and study of storytelling to find the connection between the literature and the audience.
