Jake Diedrich

My years of training in traditional theater allows me to craft and commit to various character voices that feel real and lived in. This is especially helpful when doing work for audiobooks and animation, such as cartoons and video games.

However, my talent for vocal dynamics comes in handy for commercial and corporate jobs as well. It allows me to find the kind of voice or tone quality the client is looking for, as well as offer them some different tone, inflection, and cadence options, and all the while deliver a quality product.

 Formation

My voice over training specifically I learned from a year of private lessons with Doriane Elliot, an accomplished VO artist, director, and coach based in New York City. However, my vocal control, knowledge of my instrument, and plethora of vocal skills come from my 8 years of training with Charles Walker. He was an astoundingly accomplished vocal performer (in both operas and musicals), vocal coach, professor at Westminster Choir College, and a dear friend until his passing last year.

 Expérience

As far as my voice over goes, professionally I have only produced an audiobook with ACX and the author Garnet Davenport. But do know that I am constantly hungry for new work, avidly auditioning for new projects, and searching for new opportunities for me to prove my talent and build my client base.

 Particularités

I sing, I play piano, I can edit my own recordings, I'm great with kids, and I can run the 100m dash in 11.2 seconds!
