"Confident, professional and believable, a pleasure to work with."

Warm, elegant and reassuring British RP voice actor. I am a professionally trained actor with a love of breathing language into life.

I have a lifelong passion for literature and can often be found browsing bookshops or with my nose or ears in a book. I owe my career in audiobooks to my impersonation of Joanna Lumley and have since narrated many books, all available on I am proud to be the voice of Enid Blyton's Malory Towers, Sophie's story in "Anatomy of a Scandal" by Sarah Vaughan and Tasmina Perry's "The Pool House."

I live with my family and collection of books in Hertfordshire, just outside London, where I have a professional voice studio in the bottom of my garden.

Corporate and e-learning
I also provide voiceover for technical e-learning and corporate explainer videos, drawing on my many years of education and business experience to bring technical material to life. I am particularly adept at making medical language sound natural so have several repeat clients in that area.

I have broad experience in technical e-learning for corporate clients and enjoy making these engaging. These have included Eukleia Training, JP Morgan, PreScript and Novartis.

“ At Eukleia we were delighted by the voice work Esther did for us in a range of projects for our banking clients. Authoritative , RP with great diction. She’s also a super actress and had a starring role in one of our money laundering videos. I’ve no hesitation in recommending her.” Patrick Thompson CEO Eukleia Training.

"Esther is a pleasure to work with and became a valued part of our recording project. Her clear and engaging voice was greatly appreciated by our listeners and she has the capacity to bring alive even the most complicated of texts." James Pickford, PreScript

I have also had the pleasure of working on several radio projects. Highlights include working with Blakeway Productions for BBC Radio 4 on the documentary: "Secrets and Spies, the Untold Story of Edith Cavell" and on a poetry project for Theatre on Wax, described below:

''Esther Wane's sensitive, responsive and rich rendition of 17th Century poetry was nothing short of remarkable. Her ability to add complexity, history and yet make it feel vibrant and contemporary was exquisite.'' Mark Crane, Theatre on Wax

Possibly my favourite format is the audiobook and I have been lucky enough to work with Heavy Entertainment on producing several Jill Mansell novels, leading Jill to say "I really love your voice - fantastic to listen to!"

I have my own home studio including a Studiobricks vocal booth so am able to produce professional quality audio within tight deadlines.

I also have experience in writing e-learning for financial services, particularly in relation to compliance and regulation.
