Having excellent vocal control and stamina allows me to work quickly and efficiently to brief. My experience of singing live opera through to musical theatre means I am confident in my performance ability and acting skills to communicate a message through my voice, adapting my tone and pace accordingly. I am just as comfortable using a smooth tone lower in my register to express a calm reassuring message as a higher sharper tone to convey a younger voice.

Guildhall School of Music & Drama 1993-1996, Part-time vocal tuition under Theresa Goball
On-the-job training for SpeechNet, voice used to develop voice recognition software in 1999 and then used for client telephone enquiry lines.
On-the-job-training for radio and cinema advertising, working at DMB&B Advertising, I was seconded to frequent voice over work rather than using external talent. Clients included Phillips and Mars Confectionery.
On-the-job-training for corporate voiceover work. Clients included Damovo and AQA.

 Experiencia

My first cinema advertisement was my first voice over experience in my 20s when everything was done in a sound booth in a studio. The feeling of seeing it on the big screen at a viewing on Golden Square in London was thrilling - I was an account executive but as I was known for my singing and already quite extensive vocal training, I was asked to step in when the booked talent fell ill. All my subsequent work was via word of mouth.

My voice was then used to develop a voice recognition platform - it was quite a compliment being told my ability to keep my tone so steady and neutral would allow them to develop software that would in turn go on to help build all the customer phone lines that we use today!

 Características

I sing opera to musical theatre to pop and jazz. Being a mezzo-soprano, I have a three octave range (C below middle C to two above middle C) and am very comfortable with live performance.
I am a proficient user of GarageBand software and happy to learn other editing methods.
