For explainer videos, narration and documentary work, I set a calm, warm, and reassuring tone. In commercial work, I offer sophisticated jet-setters, strong athletes, busy Moms, blazé Millenials, and chatty conspiratorial neighbors with real, conversational believability.
When I’m not voicing documentaries, demos, commercials or characters, you will most likely find me playing in a forest somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, drawing, painting, or performing with my Improv troupe.
Formación
I am professionally trained, having an ongoing coaching relationship with Nancy Wolfson of BrainTracks Audio, Donna Grillo, Randal Ryan, and Rachel Alena. Nancy Wolfson produced the SOVAS award-winning commercial demo with my voice and sound engineer Rick Santizo. The study and craft of voice acting is ongoing, including a lifetime of acting on stage and in the booth, as well as the steady support and guidance of coaches keeping me on point. As a life-long athlete, avid mountain biker, snowboarder, skier and general thrill seeker, I like to keep sharp by pushing the boundaries of what’s possible “for a girl”. I also know what it means to train, practice, and have experienced first-hand the positive results hard-work can attain.
Experiencia
Born into a family of performers, I have been on stage in one way or another, since the age of 6. A lifetime of performing experience informs my unique voice. A side benefit of growing up an only child semi-feral in the woods, I had LOT of time to create many characters and imaginary friends with unique voices to keep me company. I performed throughout my formative years and began University studies as a theater major. I was encouraged (discouraged?) to follow a "real career" path and ended up with a B.S. in Business Administration. Doh! I do have a marketing and advertising background, and lend my experience directing and crafting brand strategy into delivering the appropriate voice to projects, grounded in reality.
Currently, I perform with the Bend Institute of Comedy Improv Troupe, directed by John Breen from the Upright Citizen's Brigade.
Life experience: Throughout my tenure in Los Angeles I served as a front woman and lead singer of multiple bands. Adventure travel - I believe travel experiences inform us in so many ways that we can't measure and those experiences play a role in the richness of my voice and realness of my delivery.
