My natural voice is a highly-relatable, neutral British accent. It is educated but easy-on-the-ear, with warm, mid-tones, and a good pace and energy that can be adapted to suit any age range. Adjectives that spring to mind are confident, authoritative, measured, husky, rich, comforting, knowledgeable and wise.
As a true 3rd culture kid living in 12 different countries, my greatest asset is a unique ability to fully morph into different characters, adopt genuine accents, and borrow from a lifetime of human experience. I also have picked up a number of languages from the countries I lived in. While I am no longer fluent (mainly from lack of use), I can speak authentically for short periods in Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese and Swahili.
However, a great sounding voice and a skilful script doesn't guarantee your audience will buy into what you're selling. To get the extra connection you need a relatable, genuine, been-in-your-shoes kind of person who also understands your product because they have had a lifetime of experience to draw upon. Having worked in brand marketing, entertainment, advertising and communications industries for 25 years, I will give the full nine yards to any script I read.

- Having Minecraft so anxious for my voice that they were happy to take a recording from my iphone when I was deep in camping territory with no signal. The ad received international recognition and won bestadaward and shortlisted at Cannes 2023.
- Being regularly booked by the United Nations and other leading international NGOs to be able to continue helping humanity in need.
- Being regularly retained for my African Voices (based on my childhood accent growing up in East Africa).
