Hello! I’m Lale, a British-Turkish voiceover based in London. I started voiceover back in the early 2000s, and have since worked with many global brands in commercial, corporate, e-learning and radio as well as narration, audioguides, audiobooks and medical narration. Some clients include Amazon Audible, Secret Escapes, Sunday Times, Unilever, Deloitte, JP Morgan, Pearson, OUP, Turkish Airlines.
I have a true love for language and a passion for delivering a clear, impactful and engaging performance. My voice has been described as ‘professional and engaging’, ‘warm and smooth’, and ‘fresh, friendly and relatable’ and clients have described me as ‘a joy to collaborate with’. I take great pride in building lasting relationships with my clients, as evident in the fact that I still voice regularly for my first ever client back in 2002!
I am most passionate about connecting with audiences to tell stories that move, inform and create good in the world. I am a member of 1% For the Planet, which means that every time you work with me, I donate 1% of my revenue to social and environmental causes. Growing up in a cross-cultural environment and having had a long career in education until 202 (when I fully immersed myself in voiceover) have sharpened my ability to connect with diverse audiences and adapt to a variety of contexts—skills that I now bring to my voiceover work.
Formación
For many years, I was self taught and gained experience as the main voice for sponsorship promos at a radio station in Istanbul (FG and Lounge FM). Throughout this time I worked with some key corporate clients and slowly developed my VO skills.
In 2021, I set up my own recording studio and got one to one voiceover coaching from one of the best in the UK industry - Tanya Rich at Richcraft, graduating from their training in 2023. I have also had Turkish VO coaching with Goksenin Ucarer Kaya (Seslendirme Teknikleri) and Murat Atil.
I am an active member of Gravy for the Brain, which is a voiceover community hub with many workshops , trainings, talks and professional development tools.
With a Masters in Linguistics, I enjoyed a long career in English Language teaching & Teacher Training . This experience means I am adept at understanding the nuances and subtleties of a script and the clients needs as well as having a fine tuned understanding of the nuances in delivery. As a trainer I delivered hundreds of workshops to teachers on how to help students with sounds, word stress, sentence stress, and intonation pronunciation as well as taught effective presentation delivery skills in many leading companies.

Born in London to Turkish parents, I am naturally bilingual in English and Turkish. My natural accent lies somewhere between a soft London accent and a neutral one. RP comes naturally to me too. I can do a Turkish accent in English as demoed in my commercial reel. My natural voice age is 30-40s.
I am a competent translator (Turkish-English) and adept at proofreading and editing scripts.
