Amy Maples

A classically trained soprano, Amy speaks with exceptional clarity and pitch. With decades of technical training behind her, she switches from vocal fry to sing-song effortlessly to portray style and character. Often the bubbly ingenue on stage, Amy transfers her comedic timing and sparkling tones to the studio with ease. Comfortable reading in English, Spanish, Italian, German, and French. Accents include Appalachian Southern American (Amy is from Tennessee).

Amy received her training from The Growing Studio in NYC as well as personalized coaching with Danielle Augustine.

Amy portrayed the duel leadings roles of Irma and Musette in a revival of Victor Herbert’s The Fortune Teller with Albany Records. Regarding her performance, Opera News said: “Maples’ soprano is supple and rich, her pitch true, her dictation and comic timing spot-on. She manages to assay her three characters, Irma, Fedor, and Musette with such vividness that the listener never has a doubt as to which character she is portraying at a given time.”

Likewise, in 2012, Amy both performed and recorded the leading role of Mitzi in Sigmund Romberg’s Blossom Time. Her recording of Blossom Time with Albany Records was released in early 2013.
