Rosemary Bucknell

I'm particularly excellent at medical/technical voice overs - anything that contains difficult pronunciations and dry, complex material that needs to be read in an engaging way. Numerous clients have complimented me on hitting a sweet spot - authoritative, knowledgeable and intelligent, while still warm and approachable. This makes me well suited for e-learning, explainers and corporate scripts. In addition, my voice is gentle and easy to listen to, meaning that I have much experience in documentary-style narration, and voicing material of a sensitive nature, requiring a softly-spoken and understanding read. Finally, I have a particular affinity for poems - there is a storytelling quality to my voice, and I have provided poetry readings, or poetic-style narration to many customers.

 Eğitim

Since 2015, I have been studying with vocal trainer Matthew Zina at the Yorkshire School of Acting. Matt is a very well-respected teacher, and has worked as a voice/dialect coach on television programmes such as Ackley Bridge (Channel 4) and The Moorside (BBC1). Prior to this, I studied at the Stirling Academy of Acting in Bolton for two years, and have a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Comparative Literature with Drama from the University of Kent.

Currently, I voice the Barclays online social awareness videos on mental health, gambling addiction and dyslexia. I voiced Star Trek: Discovery's 2017/18 social media campaigns 'How to Look after your Tardigrade' and 'Do the Shake', and throughout 2018 I was the voice of TalkTalk Business's B2B sales campaign. On national television, I recently advertised the British Heart Foundation's 'Heart Matters' magazine and voiced a Qantas Airlines ad for national radio. Ongoing e-learning clients include The Kennel Club and Oral-B, whilst on the corporate side I am currently engaged in extensive voicework on data migration and cloud-based software, such as Microsoft Azure and Dynamics 365. I played the lead female character of Mrs White in the video game 'Raid: World War 2', and I have provided character voices for several other video games including Warframe and Dragon Age.
