"Be it English, Spanish, , I put the accent on quality."

On hold messaging, dramatic, guy-next-door, political, eLearning, commercial...after more than 25 years in the business, I've read just about every type of script imaginable in both Spanish and English. But my favorite type of script is one that tells a story, that grabs interest and draws the listener in right away. I've been involved in theater ever since my college days and that dramatic training has been a tremendous aid for my approach to a script. I like to imagine the "back story" of a script, in other words, what went on right before the words I'm about to read. That enables me to give a more believable interpretation for my client.
In particular I enjoy reading industrial and corporate scripts because generally they incorporate some history about the firm, its vision and the successes of the company. This is where my theater background comes into play. I always strive to make my interpretation more than just words on a page; it's very similar to a documentary in many ways. Likewise I enjoy reading commercials that tell a story. I've also done a number of voices for cartoons.

My undergraduate major was theater and I have performed both professionally and in local theater. The theater training has enabled me to provide a more spontaneous interpretation to the scripts. I have also attended workshops held by Lynda McCarrell and Nick Omana, well known voice actor coaches from California. Locally, John Causby from Ground Crew Studios and Fred Story from Concentrix studios have been invaluable in providing coaching assistance.

For more than 8 years I have had a weekly session with Muzak (now Mood Music) recording voice prompts, on-hold telephone commercials and in-store commercials. I work with a number of studios in the Charlotte, North Carolina area recording corporate scripts and have also recorded multiple cartoon voices for the Tommy Nelson Company of Nashville, Tennessee (the Hermie and Wormie series). I have recorded scripts for McDonald's, John Deere, Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of America, Krispy Kreme Donuts, The Catholic Channel (EWT), Newport Group, 311 informational tel and many documentaries.

I provide translation services (English-Spanish, Spanish-English) to many of my clients. I also assist them in editing scripts that were previously translated, but with little concern for timing or localization.
