I used to be a full-time TV Promo Writer/Producer. During my time in that position, I realized that I had a knack for VO work. I guess all those years doing scratch tracks during my edit sessions was great practice! I decided to leave the network I was working for and start my own freelance writer/producer and VO business. I had the pleasure of working with some great clients/brands for both production and VO work. Specific to my VO experience, I voiced TV promos & program narration, web spots, training videos, commercials, a museum exhibit, and radio spots.
Formação
I got a lot of practice with VO when I was a TV promo writer/producer but I also had formal training too. I've had VO training with Edge Studios NYC, SkillsHub, and Melissa Leebaert VO Training. I've also taken improv training which also really adds to may VO toolkit. I took classes with the (Washington) DC Improv, Washington Improv Theater (WIT) and Gary Austin's Improv Training.
Experiência
I was lucky enough to work with variety of networks; I did VO work for Animal Planet, Discovery Health, HGTV, Discovery Production Group, FitTV, Maryland Public Television, National Geographic Channel, Team Sound & Vision Productions, TLC, Travel Channel, Qubo, and WETA.
