Jon Adams

My strength is in conveying the message of the script in a warm, approachable and trustworthy way. I make stuff *really* make sense, so the audience can be engaged and informed while feeling at ease. My approach is to 'serve the script' and the client's requirements, and I'm happy to do this under direction or independently. I'm highly technically proficient in recording, editing, mixing, and audio production – thanks to over 30 years of studio experience, and I only use broadcast-standard equipment in my home studio to ensure that exacting needs are met.

 Formação

BA (Hons) in Drama (1988), 15 years of explainers/tutorials at Bauer Media (UK), plus several years as a full-time VO artist (around 2500 jobs). I'm highly skilled with Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere, Apple Logic Pro and related software/hardware, and can offer a sync-to-picture service from guide VO or timing cue sheet, if required.

I compose and produce music (orchestral, rock/pop), play guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, and sing (rock/pop). As well as a voiceover artist, I've worked in TV/Video production as a cameraman, Steadicam operator, sound recordist and video editor, and have also worked in the UK and abroad as a writer/director. I spent 15 years as a magazine editor on a market-leading title in consumer publishing, so can proof, amend or adapt scripts quickly and effectively, if needed.
