Ian R. Q. Slater is a trans/non-binary Voice Actor, trained in Chicago, IL and based in Albuquerque, NM. They have a background in audiobook production, having recorded over a dozen in the last two years, and have been featured in leading and supporting roles on several award winning podcasts with companies like Rusty Quill UK and How It Ends Studios. They recently became the voice of Louisiana 988 - an emergency mental health hotline.

 Formação

Ian attended the Chicago College of Performing Arts, where they received a BFA in Acting. This full time training program prepared Ian in all contemporary schools of acting, from classical theatre and mask work to on camera and voiceover. Ian has attended workshops with acclaimed Voice Actors Kevin Theis and Barbara Zahora.

Ian played a leading role in "The Pit Below Paradise" - a Neon Inkwell podcast distributed by Rusty Quill UK. Ian recently became the voice of Louisiana 988 - a mental health hotline.

In addition to their work as a Voice Actor, Ian has a background in dialect coaching — having worked with well-reputed companies across Chicagoland, and offering one-on-one sessions to actors who just want to hone their skills. Ian is also an experienced musician and an accomplished singer, having played cello for nearly two decades, and trained in classical voice for the last ten years.
