"Need a voice with a background in acting? I'm your gal."

My work is unique because of my background in acting. What I bring to the table is an understanding of human emotion and connection, and a love of telling stories in a lively, engaging way. My training in acting gives me the ability to adapt and change my voice, whether it's in terms of accent (British/American/etc), pitch (childish/old), or even texture (smooth/gravelly). I can read texts at high speeds, but also have an excellent grasp of the power of pauses and silences. I know how to pace myself.

I thoroughly enjoy projects which allow me to go back to my acting roots and get into character; but overall, my love of voice acting doesn't exclude any categories. I enjoy voice work for the stories I can tell with my voice, and my ability to contribute to a creative project. I love getting to know people, and I find it easy to work with a variety of different directing styles. Moreover, as a bi-national EU resident, I can speak both French and English fluently, which lends itself to my voice acting work.

 Formação

I got my formal training for stage and film acting from several courses at RADA, and also was in a theatre program in Manchester. In my stage work, I was directed by two different LAMDA teachers. I have taken classes with experienced and known actors, such as John Windsor-Cunningham for example. I have been acting since the age of 10, and my first voice acting job was at the age of 17. Following that, I was mentored by a qualified voice acting colleague of mine, who has over thirty years of experience in the field. For the past three years since then, voice acting has become the sole focus and passion of my acting career.

 Experiência

To name a few, I have worked for Studio C in Antwerp, Studio 5 sur 5 in Brussels, and Dame Blanche Studio. I have also done numerous projects at home for jobs I received by audition through Backstage.com. I get requests to work with people frequently, but I also go out of my way to meet knew people and have new experiences in this field. I have done:

- dubbing for a children's animated TV program (German/Austrian accent, British accent, American accent, old lady voice)
- long chapters for an audio learning course (Southern US accent, young girl voice)
- advertisements, big and small (young adult voice, enthusiastic, variations in tone)
- been the voice for a character in an audio-guided tour for a museum (British, young, enthusiastic)
- voiced a character in an audiobook (young voice)
- been the voice for many corporate/e-learning type projects (mature voice, persuasive/educative)

 Promoções

In terms of my extra skills, I speak French and English with equal fluency and can do voice acting projects in both languages. I can sing confidently, play the piano and the ukulele. Inspired by acting presences such as Jim Carrey and Robin Williams, I enjoy experimenting and playing with my voice, and I appreciate suggestions to play with my voice and move past my comfort zones. To give you an idea of my range, I can speak in a very high-pitched voice (think Alvin and the Chipmunks) but can also lower my voice to a deeper pitch (think Morticia Addams from The Addams Family). I have sung classical opera songs, pop, rock, and songs from musicals. I enjoy anything that allows me to utilize my creative toolkit to the fullest.
