- 3. A detailed assessment of the second sample file you send us (once you’ve followed through on our first set of recommendations).
- 4. A second half-hour Skype session to ensure your studio is properly set up and your voice is sounding every bit as clear and powerful as it should! We’ll use this time to answer any remaining questions you have and teach you everything else you’ll need to know in order to get clean recordings from here on out.

Equally important as getting a clean recording is knowing how to properly edit your voice overs. Amateurish editing is a big red flag for a lot of potential clients, regardless of how fitting your voice may be for their project.
By purchasing our home voice over editing private coaching package, you’ll learn how to:
- Drastically improve your workflow, so that you can cut your editing time in half
- Configure your software by creating usable templates
- Eliminate organics (mouth noises such as lip smacks)
- Eliminate clicks, pops, sibilant “s” sounds, and other background noise
Eliminate certain breath sounds, while knowing which others to keep - Set your audio levels to an appropriate volume

Jonah Rosenthal began booking national commercials and voice over work at a young age (for clients such as Macy’s, Visa, Toyota, and Sprint). Eventually, he became interested in music and audio production as well, and began scoring small film projects (accepted into the SF International Film Festival), and included collaborations with Cirque Du Soleil and professional dance companies.
He has devoted much of his time to developing home studios, and his priority as a Recording Consultant for the GVAA has been to help people get the best possible sound without spending more on software and equipment than they need to.
His knowledge of the voice over world and experience working for music tech companies allows him to make recommendations that get the most out of your budget and recording space.
