Tony Francis

I have worked on the client side as a marketing and comms specialist (winning awards for TV and radio commercials) so I have an insight into what the client is looking for. In parallel to my marketing career I spent over 14 years as a professional broadcaster working for major commercial stations in the UK producing, and self-directing a variety of radio programmes so I am not a stranger to be sitting behind a microphone.

 Opleiding

I did voiceover training with a company called Voicecaster in 2000 following redundancy but I didn't pursue as I quickly found a full-time role in marketing & comms; however, the skills I learnt did help me in my radio career; I learnt my radio broadcasting at a radio school run by a former commercial station, Leicester Sound, in 1992. On the job training followed with Hallam FM, Magic AM and The Local Radio Company.

 Ervaring

Winning TV and radio awards for a major UK brand (Ronseal), producing groundbreaking comms campaign for the UK Government on benefit fraud and being responsible for a change comms programme with a major UK utility (National Grid) - each project required the use of voice over selection.

Improving ratings of mid-morning and drivetime radio programmes I presented for The Local Radio Company to move into 2nd place behind BBC Radio 2 in the local transmission area.

Production of programme promos and voicing of client promos as required.
