Rob began doing voices and satiric characterizations at a young age and was repeatedly told by friends in the radio business that he should explore voiceover. Like so many recommendations we get in our youth, Rob failed to recognize the genuineness of the advice and would pass before Rob recognized his passion for voice acting as something he needed to, well.... ACT on. And so it was that Rob started formalizing his previous hobby into more formal skills and knowledge.
Today, Rob has branched out his original cartoon or satirical bent into a love of broader acting and connection with the characters and situations that service a wide range of scripts. Rob enjoys finding "the nut" at the core of each script and becoming that particular nut (pun intended!).

 Opleiding

Rob's training in cadence, timing and formal presentation began with a focus on public speaking in Toastmasters. He would later build a worldwide public speaking career . Seeing wide ranging benefits to the idea, Rob expanded his formal training with Improv classes.
More recently, Rob has done formal VO coursework with VoiceOne and VoiceTrax in San Francisco, GVAA seminars, monthly workouts, and formal acting classes through a local community college. Rob has also done extensive 1:1 coaching with experienced coaches in the industry including talents such as David Rosenthal, Tina Morasco, and Shelly Shenoy.
Rob has also had formal 1:1 singing coaching by a working opera singer and foresees returning to that study in 2023 to help with both skillset and vocal range.

 Ervaring

Although relatively new to voice acting, Rob has extensive experience in performance related to speech. He performed stand-up comedy in the 1990s and what is a professional speaker prior to the onset of COVID-19. Since making the move to voiceover, Rob has been formally immersing himself in the study of voice acting as well as the broader acting craft.
