I am great with animation, video games, children's songs, moms, monsters, elearning, commercials, and audiobooks. Clients love that I make dense scripts easy for listeners to understand, and can find and bring out humor in it, too.
I make life easier for my clients! About half of my work has always been from repeat customers and from direct referrals from people I've worked with. I also lived abroad in a non-English speaking country for 11 years, and am very comfortable working with non-native English speakers and multicultural teams. I can also switch between standard American English (GenAm) and a clearer, more international English that is easier for a variety of listeners to understand.
My background is in Applied Linguistics and language acquisition, and that has helped me be able to localize scripts and adjust scripts on the fly when dubbing foreign shows into English. My home studio is set up for dubbing and ADR, as well as other kinds of voiceover, and recording vocals for songs. I am also comfortable with scripts that use the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), and while I am a native English speaker and the majority of clients only want American English from me, I can also record in Chinese (intermediate) and Spanish (intermediate) with an American accent, and in constructed languages like Klingon and Elvish.
I have been a full-time voiceover artist for 4 years, have been performing off and on in some capacity for 20 years, and I am excited about joining Bodalgo and also working on this platform. I've heard only good things about you!

Ervaring
* The single largest project I've worked on, both in terms of project scope and total income: Narrating the whole King James Version Bible, all 100 hours of it, for Singaporean company Daily Innovation. It was a huge project and I also hired a team for proof-listening and sound engineering for the whole audiobook. It had to be word perfect, and everything had to be researched and pronunciations had to be determined beforehand. The audio is available on an app, free to listen, just choose "female voice" --

* One of the most challenging and interesting projects I got to work on was to take an old song written in sheet music from the 1930s, and sing the vocals. I studied songs from that era, and then mixed and mastered it to emulate how it would have sounded had it been performed and recorded on the equipment available at the time. The client really loved it. It was a song about Ottumwa.
* Something that I am proud of is that I learned how to do dubbing and ADR on my own from my home studio, and got very fast and comfortable with it. I've dubbed three 52-episode cartoon seasons and two animated films with Fantawild Animation from my home studio, and replaced the dialogue from HQ Kid's English as a Second Language (EFL) learning course where they hired a Russian actress with an accent, and I ADR'd her dialogue so it would be neutral American English.
* The commercial with the largest broadcast reach that I have worked on was for Hannaford grocery stores. I actually recorded it last month. The client wanted a fun character to represent the brand, and chose me. It should be broadcasting this year throughout the northeast USA.
