Lorna Halverson

When I step up to the mic, I deliver a smooth, articulate sound full of warmth and caring with a solid base of knowledge and professionalism. My almost 20 years as a homeschool educator to my 5 children gave me the ability to communicate ideas to all ages. E-learning, Corporate, and Medical Narration are genres I thoroughly enjoy, and it is a welcome challenge to me to make mundane subjects engaging. I also enjoy being dramatic, and that is where my love for audiobook narration and select character work in video games and audio dramas come in. With my youthful sound, I can play roles from teenagers to adults.

 Opleiding

I learned my voice over skills through my coaching with Tim Powers in commercial and narration, and Cathi Colas in audiobook narration and production. I also have years of vocal training that contributed to my skills. I have attended a variety of workshops, webinars, and classes with instructors like Anne Ganguzza (Medical and Corporate Narration), Heather Nichols (Corporate, E-learning, Audiobooks), Shane Salk (Script Analysis), Liz Atherton, and Kristin Paiva. I've also participated in TimProv with Tim Powers and Levels 1-2 of in-person improv classes.

 Ervaring

My voice over experience includes video narration (mini-doc and PSA), audiobook narration (Fiction - YA and Historical), and character work for a video game mod and comic dubs.
