Kate Marx

Kate's voice ranges from young adult to older adult. She has a warm and approachable voice that is authentic and natural. Kate has played many roles -- the boss, mom, sister, best friend, cool aunt. She has a strong voice for educational materials, e-learning, healthcare, home products, back-to-school, travel, finance and documentaries as well as creating authentic characters for animation and video games. Kate loves the art of storytelling and is so excited to be working in a field where she can give voice to all kinds of stories, including yours. She is warm, compassionate, and easy to approach. She brings a joyfulness to all aspects of her life with the goal of making even the hard stuff, fun.

 Opleiding

Along with her background in theatre training at SFSU and Berkeley Rep, Kate began her voice over training with Voice One SF in 2022. She continues her training by taking advanced and professional level courses and keeping up with changes to the industry. She has trained under Sally Clawson, Jim Edgar, Mellisa Hutchinson, Gavin Hammon and many others.

Kate received her BA in Drama from SFSU and her M.Ed. from Mill's College. She draws from her experiences working in Health Care and Education in all her performances, allowing her to give an authentic and natural voice to her roles.

 Ervaring

Kate worked with Seoul National University on creating a natural English language dialogue for their English Language Audio Learning Program.
