Originally from Minnesota, Clarissa Jacobson is from the only family in the state that isn’t Norwegian and didn’t eat Tater Tot Hotdish every Sunday. Now she resides in Los Angeles with the other weirdos where she commits murder every day by delivering killer voiceover.
Clarissa got her start as an actress and has a BA in theatre from Indiana University and a degree from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. After paying her dues in off-Broadway plays with three people in the audience and mean stage managers, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue instant stardom but was bit by the voiceover bug instead. She’s been slaughtering the mic ever since.
Clarissa’s signature voice is authentic, warm, and full of energy but don’t let that fool you, she has a wide range of styles and delivery.
Commercially, she’s your trustworthy spokesperson, the young mom that makes you smile, or the hip girlfriend that rolls her eyes too much. On the narration side, she’ll deliver your corporate training, e-learning module, or documentary with professionalism and flair. If you’re looking for animation, she’s known for creating full-blown characters with humor and heart and excels in improv.

Opleiding
Clarissa has a BA in theatre from Indiana University and is a Graduate of the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC. She was an apprentice for the Phoenix Theater in New York and studied with Michael Patrick King (Sex & the City) and Bram Lewis then went on to study with teachers in Los Angeles including Rebecca Street, Gary Austin (Saturday Night Live) and more. For Voiceover Training she studied with Dolores Diehl, Marc Cashman, various other workshops and learned editing techniques from Audio Ninja and Larry Hudson.
Ervaring
Clarissa is currently the spokesperson for Newport Aquariums and recently did a TV VO spot for Simple Modern. Other commercial highlights include radio spots for NASCAR, The Automobile Club of Southern California, the spokesperson for Wisconsin Athletic Club, in-house narration work for Johnson & Johnson as well as the voice of museums exhibits in France, and animation work for feature film Hoodwinked Too! Hood Vs. Evil, stop-motion short Las Nogas, and video game work for Identity V & Squid Game.
In the past she also did many theater jobs, but got out of acting and to follow the passion of Voiceover and she hasn't looked back!
