My voice is feminine, higher pitched, with an occasional rasp.

My background is varied and has nearly always centered around language. My academic background in writing and literary analysis and my current avocation as an incessant reader give me the skills to read deeply and understand the emotional background of each character, while my experience as an educator and as a volunteer reading aloud to pre-K classes has helped me develop an appreciation for how young humans see the world and has kept me apprised of the latest in GenZ and GenAlpha slang.

My previous career in the pharmaceutical industry left me comfortable with and conversant in scientific terminology and experienced with being creative within external limitations and tight timelines. I also worked as a yoga instructor and doula, which gave me experience both practicing a soothing voice for relaxation and comfort and observing fierce emotions during intense times. In addition, as a former Navy brat and as an adult with sand in my shoes, I have lived in seven US states and been immersed in cultures and accents in all four time zones in the contiguous US.

 Opleiding

I've trained with voiceover coach Mary Beth Eversole and audiobook narration coach Megan Tusing, and I've taken voice acting and theatre acting classes at Mesa College in San Diego. I also completed an animation intensive with Susan Palyo and Lori Alan with Voicetrax West, a commerical intensive with Elaine Craig, and an audiobook narrator workshop with Jesse Bickford, and I participate in professional voiceover workouts with Deborah Reeves at San Diego Audio Video. In addition, I completed the Intro to Audio Technology course at Mesa College, which taught me the fundamentals of recording and producing with ProTools Artist.

Narrated the novel Murder Among the Marigolds by Diane Scotland, available on Audible.com November 2025.

 Specifieke vaardigheden

I have a home studio (Warm Audio WA-14 large-diaphragm condenser microphone, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, ProTools) and can record, edit, and finish projects. I sing (lyric soprano) and play the piano and the flute.
