"Warm, engaging voice with an ear for comedy"

My warm, engaging and contemporary voice allows me to be relatable to the audience. Whether that is bringing characters to life in an audio book, selling a product in a commercial, imparting the information in an educational video or keeping the listener hooked in a documentary. My work as an actor for over ten years has meant I have developed the ability to take on a range of characters and always endeavour to find what makes them tick, I also perform my comedy character each week to different audiences and this interest in comedy is something that sets me apart. The lightness and focus on delivery of text which is so pivotal in comedy is crucial to high quality voice-work whatever the genre and that's something I have honed over the years and bring to any voice job I do.

Although happy with the voice projects I have done so far, I would like to also lend my voice to other projects which have a more informative, practical usage as this is an area I feel I could use my skills but as yet haven't explored.

 Opleiding

I trained as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama for three years and a fundamental part of the training was our voice; how to strengthen it, how to warm it up, how to use it at it's extremes, how to use it with text and how to preserve it. These technical elements are so important and stay with me to this day. As well as the conventional stage and screen elements of acting we focussed on voice work in terms of narration, radio drama, documentary VoiceOver and commercials.

 Ervaring

In my final year of training I was one of two people selected to represent the university at the Carleton Hobbs Award in which one finalist is chosen and given a contract with BBC Radio, this was one of my proudest achievements and this begun even before my career had officially started. I was able to use my voice to voice some of the poems in 'The Pity of War' which was aired on BBC Radio 4. I also showcased a more contemoirary, London sound in 'Mel Meets Her Match' the Eastenders spin-off also on the BBC. I have been part of two projects with I.D Audio, one audiobook 'The Hive' and one computer game 'Wartales'. I have been engaged with various other projects too including voicing the character of Romeo for a community-led production of Romeo and Juliet.
