My strengths in commercial VO are folksy reads (a la Tom Bodett of the Motel 6 ads), heart pieces, explaining subjects like finance or technology in a clear and reassuring way, and the rare spot that still wants a big over-the-top announcer (or a satire of one.) I have a background in improv and comedy that helps me play "quirky" by just letting myself shine through rather than trying to forcibly wring humor out of the copy. I use those same strengths in other forms of narration, delivering an explanation without talking down to the audience and managing to find a spark of humor and soul in even the driest technical verbiage.
My character acting portfolio covers animation, interactive media, ADR (both animated and live-action), audio drama, stage theater, and improv. My most-booked roles in the character space are villains, comic relief, and any other characters that let me spread my wings and go big. And bigger. And bigger still. A director may have to pull me back, but they'll never need to push me.
Formazione
I began on stage, first in school and later as an adult training with Jet City Improv in Seattle. When I started getting serious about voice acting, I made a bucket list of working actors and studios I wanted to learn from - a list that continues to grow as fast as I can check items off it. I've taken hundreds of hours of classes and workshops, primarily online, with scores of actors, voice directors, and agents. Some mentors worth highlighting are Scott Holst and Sara Cravens in commercial VO, Courtenay Taylor and Krizia Bajos in interactive, Dawn Hershey and Sara Sherman in animation, Brandon English and Jeff Howell in live action ADR, and Crispin Freeman and Michael Allen Schneider for general character acting.
Esperienza
I had several major summits in my character work in 2024. In the interactive space, I provided in-game and trailer voices for Zenless Zone Zero, MiHoYo's latest game. In ADR, I was cast as the English dub voice of King Gomah, principal antagonist of Dragon Ball Daima, with the dub produced by Crunchyroll in partnership with Toei. In commercial, my recent work includes narration for brand advertisement videos for Koppert and Fedrigoni, and narration of digital placement ads for Lilith Games and Wholesome Goods.
Peculiarità
