Character voices, Audiobooks, Audioguides and Documentaries are the strength areas that have built my reputation as a rock solid professional. I've worked with clients on over 50 audiobooks, covering both fiction and non-fiction. I am the voice of the UK Houses of Parliament Audioguide and Hampton Court Palace. Premium Game titles like Raid (Shadow Legends) feature my character work. I first started studying drama at school, with Trinity College of Music, Speech and Drama grades, for which I gained distinctions. After leaving school, I went to college in Hull studying the performing arts, drama, vocal delivery and singing. Soon after this I joined the Military and continued my education with an Open University Degree in Humanities with Music. The study of composition, as well as music production and mixing set me up with the technical skills necessary to later enter voice work. I ended up as a senior staff officer and frequently spoke to audiences of 500 people or more.
That chapter ended in 2016 but before I left, I attended the London City Literary Institute to get a deeper handle on recording and mixing, I also entered a mentorship programme with US award winning mix engineer Jason Moss. My studio was built at home, initially with musical composition and performance in mind, but was soon adapted to voice when I realised in 2019 that I was drawn to it so much.
I've received, (and continue to receive) professional Voice Coaching and professional development across all aspects of the business. A continuous thirst for knowledge keeps me on point.
