"Suave English gentleman, gravelly dark wizard, plenty more."

My smooth, rich, resonant baritone and natural BBC English accent make me particularly suitable for period drama roles, and the hint of grit and gravel I can add when required has won me a lot of work as romantic leads; Mr. Darcy types. I started my voiceover career as an audiobook narrator, and continue that work today. In my narrating, storytelling voice, can hold a listener's interest and attention for hours at a time, and as the sole performer, have a well-developed and well-practiced cast of character voices that actually sound like people, not just performances.

I also excel in the commercial world at reads requiring gravitas, confidence, and an air of authority. My calm, deep voice lends weight to non-fiction and factual or training information, and I read information as though I know what it means, and believe in its importance; I don't just 'get through it' with the same rising, falling cadence like the traditional old-style announcer. This real connection with the text and its meaning and intention helps my audience learn and remember what I tell them.

My education (BA in English Literature) also makes me suitable for more poetic-style readings and advertisements, with the gravel in my voice and my control of rhythm and pacing good at conjuring a feeling of wistful, elegiac gravity and a sense of the epic and sublime. Tragic heroes, wicked tyrants, the voice of ancient prophecy. That kind of thing.
