Gavin Bruce

I have a pleasant and soothing voice and over 30 years of experience in audio recording and live radio, from jazz in the morning to news to 30-hour novels. I'm from the Midwest of America (Kansas), and I've lived and worked in Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland. I'm a translator, editor and linguist by day -- I speak German at a professional level as well as passable French, Russian and Dutch -- and can mimic just about any accent.

Currently living and working in Vienna, Austria.

 Esperienza

Apart from the thousands of hours I have spent reading news, books and magazines for Audio-Reader -- both live on-air and recorded for broadcast -- I have several audiobooks available on Audible and iTunes, including a 34-hour-long novel. I've booked VO projects for Bayer, Casual Films and the Story Player. I was also selected to record the winning entry for the Mogford Prize for Food and Drink Writing 2021. It's a funny and strange short story about a German chef de cuisine, so the client requested English with a German accent.

In 2025, I received an International Association of Audio Information Services (IAAIS) Program Award.
