"Warm and Deep voice for Neutral, British, South African accent"

I have a genuine passion for voice work. Trying to find the right tone and voice to match the script perfectly is exciting. Because I'm an actor, I do tend towards the performative. I do get a lot of jobs for computer games, animated shows, my 'David Attenborough' impression is in high demand. :) But my voice also has a lot of natural warmth, and I'm often used for 'dry' explainer or commercial scripts.

 Formazione

I'm a trained and gigging actor, graduated in 1999 with a performers diploma from the University of Cape Town.

 Esperienza

In 2007 I got my first ongoing voice gig as the promo reader for a magazine program called 'Top Travel'.
In 2010 I got an awesome campaign for Nigeria, which necessitated having to create a fake, gibberish language for multiple characters.
I created a home studio for myself in 2013... really an improvised blanket fort with a crappy mic! But by 2015, with the help of a few regular clients I still service today, I converted a room in my home into a proper sound booth.
In 2016 I voice 'Polar Bear' and 'Rocky the Rhino' for the animated kids show, Jungle Beat.
At about the same time I started dubbing overseas shows into South African, British English and American and accents.
My 'David Attenborough' impression became really popular, and I've recorded dozens of jobs with it.
Presently I'm on several voice sites and on average, every week I get to work with new and regular clients.

 Peculiarità

I'm an excellent copy-writer, and I really enjoy fixing translation or flow issues.

I love character voices, and have played old wizards, undead Lich kings, cartoon animals, Papa Smurf, Afrikaans mercenaries, football commentators, and yes... David Attenborough.
