Hello! I'm Cenophia (Nophi) Mitchell - "Storyteller with an edge", and a vocal style as unique as my name.

I am a professional NYC based full time voice-over talent, and making sure each project is a success is my bottom line!

My sound is relatable to teen, millennial, "xennial", or Gen X audiences. Versatile yet authentic. Warm yet Cool.

... And More.

I can portray the friendly girl next door, an enthusiastic teen, an honest millennial, a savvy mom, sexy, urban, sassy, smart, an informed professional, an inspired student, a poetic storyteller, or a caring advocate... all with an approach that is natural, and relatable.

I am comfortable portraying over the top characters, as well as realistic characters, ranging from young child to mature adult voices. I also specialize in realistic little boy voices.

I have a great ear, and I am very good at taking direction, as well as self-direction, so sessions run smoothly.

Clients appreciate that I am easy to work with and prioritize deadlines.
Some clients include: Big Fish Games, Bio-Rad, BMW, Caesars Casino Slots, Deloitte, Epson, The Home Depot, iHeart Radio, Macy's Backstage, MetLife, MIT, Morgan Stanley, Netflix, NYU, Pandora, Pinna, REI, Spotify, and more.

I have a home-based studio, but if you would like to book me for an in-person session, I am based in New York City.

There are times when I can't check audition posts as often as I would want to so always feel free to reach out directly at nophi.vo@cenophia.com to bring attention to an opportunity I may have missed.

Voice over: Anna Garduno (VoiceForward), Lisa Biggs, Everett Oliver.
Various Workshops and Conferences
Vocal technique: Yvonne Hatchett, Lainie Cooke.
Years of invaluable training as an actor (including improv and interactive educational theater), and vocalist.

My first voiceover job, as well as my first job ever, was being the voice of a gossiping Muppet named "Toya" (The Jim Henson Company). It was a rare opportunity and an amazing introduction to the world of voice-over.

That experience, and the chance to collaborate with so many talented artists early on, was a great source of education.

Projects I've worked on include Commercials (Radio / Television / Web), Pre-roll Ads, Video Games, Animation, Whiteboard / Explainer Videos, Instructional Videos, Onboarding and Training, Promos, Trailers, Mood Films, PSAs, Voice Messages/ Telephony, DJ Drops, Podcasts (Including Children's Podcasts), Indie Film, Song Parody, E-Learning Modules, Educational Videos for Kids... Every new project is exciting for me, and an opportunity to bring my best!

I'm also an experienced session vocalist who sings in various musical styles, as well as arranges vocals/harmony easily by ear, and performs musical parodies & jingles.

I've also trained as a facilitator, specializing in workshops focusing on diversity, empowerment, sexual health, conflict resolution, The Arts, and technology, as well as bringing ease to discussions about difficult topics. Being a teaching artist has taught me a lot about making copy engaging, relatable, and easy to understand.

I can laugh on cue too. LOL (literally)

I can provide general copywriting, character copy, or copy-editing services (including making the copy sound more conversational, or incorporating American slang).

My flexible schedule allows for a general 24-48hr turnaround time for most requests.
