I completed voice over training with Jack Bailey at Nancy Mosser Casting, which consisted of a six-week course designed to enhance both performance skills and industry knowledge for aspiring voice actors. The course covered nuanced script interpretation, character development, home studio setup, and industry best practices, including the pros and cons of talent agent representation and union membership. Practical sessions involved recording narration, commercial scripts, character dialogue, and audiobook-style readings, with personalized feedback to refine performance. Additionally, I gained insight into creating voice-over demos and marketing myself as a voice actor. Jack Bailey is one of the Pittsburgh area’s most experienced sound designers & voice-over producers. In the course of a 45+ year career serving as Sound Department Head/Senior Producer/Audio Engineer at various recording facilities, Jack has engineered and/or produced well over 20,000 soundtracks all over the country. He now specializes in coaching voice-overs (including the production of professional voice-over demos and audiobooks), as well as producing soundtracks for video/film.
Additionally, I trained under renowned voice actor Dave Fennoy in a specialized Video Game Acting Workshop, focusing on character development, emotional delivery, and performance techniques for interactive media. These experiences have strengthened my versatility, performance authenticity, and ability to bring compelling characters to life.
