Sam Lucas Smith

Sam is an award winning Irish actor, based between London, Dublin and Los Angeles. Sam is currently filming the lead in the thriller feature film 'Killers Within' and was awarded 'Best Supporting Actor' at the Sydney Independent Film Festival for his work as Abel in the upcoming Imperative PIctures feature 'Imperfect Sky.

Sam's leading television work includes the part of Michael alongside Jim Norton and Nora Jane-Noone in TV3's 6 part television drama 'Deception'; he was seen as Edwin in the major US television series 'Vikings' and he has played leading roles in popular BBC productions such as 'Waterloo Road' and 'Casualty.

Sam has an extensive list of voiceover credits and he has provided character voices for major animations and video games; his previous work includes the investigative thriller 'A Dark Reflection' and he plays the title role in Peter J.McCarthy's award winning 'Hunters Fall', which continues to screen internationally following its debut at the prestigious Galway Film Fleadh.

 Ausbildung

Sam has trained with some of the top dialect coaches in the industry, including Andrew Jack, Jessica Drake and Richard Ryder. He graduated from the NCDT accredited Manchester Metropolitan University ‘School of Theatre’ where he earned a BA hons degree in acting and went on to train under the mentorship of leading directors, including Kirsten Sheridan and Lance Daly, as part of the Bow Street Screen Acting Programme where he was guided by established actors such as Danny Devito, Cillian Murphy and Saoirse Ronan.

Sam has additional skills in comedy and improvisation, having graduated from the Soho Comedy School in London and the UCB Improvisation Theatre in Los Angeles.
