"Sparkly, Melodious and Tranquil"

When I was 11, I wrote to the BBC asking for an audition to be in Grange Hill. They wrote back saying no, but I loved that letter and still have it. I’ve always loved performing and creating from storytelling, songwriting, writing plays and children's stories, creating puppet shows in the garden shed and even putting a crafty spin on some sparkly yarns through crochet and knitting.

London hasn’t always been my home. My early years were spent in Bristol, Leigh and Oldham before moving to London aged 9 with a strong north west accent which I can still do along with British RP, a general London accent, Cockney and Liverpudlian.

My VO journey began later on in life in 2014. I’m a great communicator and have the ability to work with people from all walks of life as my past career demonstrates which has been varied and interesting. I’ve waitressed, made hotel breakfasts, been a library assistant, a sales assistant at Percy Ingle, nannied which nurtured my storytelling skills, worked in publishing for magazines specialising in mining and most recently as a business researcher for a large investment bank. Through twenty years in the corporate world, I bring research, communication, interviewing, problem-solving and customer relationship skills working with people from all different backgrounds and I understand the importance and value of friendly, open communication. All these experiences have brought me to voiceover today. I’m easy to work with, passionate about voiceover, have a naturally curious nature and am warm and friendly.
