I have been a professional voice actor since 2020, but it's been a growing passion of mine for more than 20 years. Aside from being a voice actor, I'm a church choir director, secondary school choir director, school theatre teacher, baritone singer, and trombonist with a Bachelor's degree in music education. My main voice over genres are Industrial/Corporate, e-Learning, and Commercial.
Since I'm a professionally-trained music teacher, I have a good ear; this gives me the necessary skills to help your copy be understood by the listener in the way it was intended.
I have lived in the state of Tennessee (USA) my entire life, but my accent is much more subdued compared to others from this same area.
Ausbildung
Edge Studio (New York City), Atlanta Voiceover Studio; one-on-one coaching with voice actor Julie Shaer (Atlanta); attended the VO Atlanta voiceover conference multiple times; countless workshops, classes, and webinars
Erfahrung
I have announced for local events (live announce for marching band competitions, British brass band concerts, etc.), narrated a commissioned piece for orchestra and narrator, and I've also clients via other P2P sites, and voiced several local TV commercials.
Besonderheiten
I am a classically-trained musician (baritone singer, trombone player, some piano), and this experience is an asset to my voiceover ear. As a choir director, I am used to instructing people on how to change their sound, so I try to take my own medicine in the VO booth. Working previously in the business world also helps me understand clients' perspectives a little better. I also have plenty of experience in the business world as well as customer service.
