"BELIEVABLE - From announcing to voice acting - 38 yr Pro!"
Bob Harper

When I FIRST started doing my own custom commercials in the 80's in Pennsylvania,
my unique work caught on rather fast and business took off! Problem was however, my normal announcing voice was appearing constantly across the 15 radio stations.
At that point, I started experimenting with different announcing styles, dialects and then characters,
so the ads wouldn't be sounding as similar. THAT's when I really learned the fine art of voice acting!

After 38 years and literally 8,000+ ads, multimedia projects and so on, I've developed and honed a rather wide
range of voice styles and characters that I can call upon in a heartbeat. However, there's one problem with having
so many characters at your disposal. You see, they often want to follow me out for a night on the town. That's when the fun starts. '-)

- I started as an ON-AIR DJ for an easy listening, FM station when I was 15-17 years old and worked part time weekends and full time summers until college.
- Did extensive media and voice work while attaining a BS at the renowned communications school of Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY.
- Became a SAG-AFTRA voice and on-camera talent in New York City in my early 20's doing national ads on and off camera for three years

- Have written, produced and/or performed in approximately 8,000+ broadcast and multimedia projects for clients throughout the US
- Opened a combination recording studio/ad agency in PA for 8 yrs., doing all forms of advertising, musical jingles and multi-track recording for clients nationwide
- Shifted to being an independent producer of all things media for clients across the USA
- Self wrote, performed and produced national radio ads for Minute Maid, Motorola, Stroehmann's Bread, Robert Half Intl: Accountemps, Office Team, HBO
- Performed and produced hundreds of radio ads for DeBartolo Shopping Malls (Now Simon) throughout the US
- Performed and produced hundreds of radio ads for PRIME Outlets Malls throughout the US
- Wrote, voiced and produced a series of dramatic and eerie tales that aired nationwide on Sirius/XM radio for three years
- Wrote, produced and performed audio tracks for 35mm animated "movie theater" trailers for major movie theater groups like AMC & Regal
- Was one of the key voices heard throughout Disney World in Orlando and other Theme Parks & Haunted Attractions around the country

- In addition to voice work, I can also fully produce ads and am quite good at multi-track sound design.
- I also do print work, online videos and television ads,- which includes talking facial animation from still imagery.
- I used to write and produce a number of musical jingles back in the day and although I'm not currently equipped for Jingle Production,
I can indeed pen a catchy "hook" and melody and make the arrangements for an outside studio with pro musicians and singers to record it.
In addition, I or my characters can sing well enough to carry a tune in ads or other productions. '-)
