"Anne is a passionate story teller of many voices"

“And who are we today?” Anne’s sister would ask every morning. Because, even as a child, Anne was a passionate woman of many faces. Or, as Jeffrey Rosenstock, Director of Queens Theatre in the Park, once described her, “A lone actress, armed with a minimum of props and a maximum dose of talent. This is a theatrical escapade at its best — raw talent, passion, and great storytelling!”

Anne, a Rhode Island native, was born into an Italian family of 5 children, one of whom had special needs and severe social challenges. Out of necessity, she learned and engaged in the transformative, delightful power of theatre. She wrote, staged, directed and starred in The Flying Pootzalends – a cross between Saturday Night Live and A Night at the Circus – and performed weekly, along with her siblings, in her family’s living room.

Naturally, those early years of highly personal theatrical works led her to move to New York City and become a member of the Actors Studio. She created Living History Programs – a series of simply staged, one-woman, first-person narrative shows that allow students to engage with and be inspired by America’s most legendary heroines.

Performing in schools across the Northeast gave Anne the courage to develop and share her family’s story. She wrote and produced her BroadwayWorld award winning show, BOB: Blessed Be the Dysfunction that Binds. In it, Anne portrays twenty characters and tells her family’s story from diagnosis to success.

Anne divides her time between stage, television, audiobooks and film. You can find out more about Anne and her works at:
