Hello, My name is NaiMarie. I am a VO talent who speaks English (North American) and I am also bilingual in the Filipino dialect of Tagalog. I am someone who is flexible and always ready to fill in your Voiceover needs. I am down-to-earth, easy going, and versatile; which resonates in my voice. I'm a hard-worker and ready to do what it takes to keep my clients happy and satisfied with my work. My styles/tone include millennial, young adult, mom, girl-next-door, standard professional, and more. I can range from high energy, friendly, warm, confident, conversational and beyond whatever your needs are.
Formação
I initially began my training in the early parts of my college career while living in the Philippine Islands. Eventually, after moving back to the United States, I got a degree in Business then became a certified teacher, with a specialization in Special Education. As a Special Education teacher, one of the things I love to do is help my students become better readers. My favorite books to share with them were Reader's Theatre books. I love bringing the characters in a story book to life by giving them different personalities through their voices. I also found that this was the best way to keep my students engaged, no matter what their disabilities were. I spent a lot of my childhood, teenage years and some of my adulthood involved in theatre as well. I was involved in a local community theatre for awhile. I decided to continue my love for voiceover by becoming a professional VO actor. I received my initial training with Such A Voice. My training is ongoing, and Improv Classes are what's next in my calendar.
Experiência
Aside from local radio ads and radio (telenovelas) in the Philippines back in the early 1990s, I was the voice of the City of Houston's 3-1-1 phone automation system. I also am a volunteer with Learning Ally and currently continuing to build my resume.
Promoções
I do sing. During my time in Theatre, I performed in musicals. I also have sung in church choirs. Other things that I do, is speak fluent Tagalog. It is one of the many dialects of the Filipino Language.
