Formation
A trained actress and graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and I've been voicing for over two decades. You’ll likely have heard a commercial or character I put my voice to every day on the telly or wireless. I'm the Voice Of God for ITN, the Station Voice of Heart Scotland and LBC and a Senior Voice Artist for the BBC. I have many corporate and e-learning clients and I confess I may also be responsible for keeping you on hold to many companies.... So in short, the variety of different work I undertake is huge and no two days are the same, which is why I love my job.
Expérience
After leaving drama school with a degree and a shiny award under my arm I cut my professional teeth in theatre and radio drama, graduating to work in TV and film with some outstanding British actors like Colin Firth, Clive Owen, Ken Stott and David Tennant. I have portrayed a few cops in my time so the jewel in that particular crown was being cast as DS Siobhan Clarke with John Hannah in the ITV drama series Rebus. This ran for 4 years and I carried on voicing in between filming. Throughout my acting career it dawned that the jobs I loved most were the ones not infront of the camera but behind the mic for the BBC Radio Drama dept. I could fall hook line and sinker into character without the constraints of any visual ideals. This is where I learned hands on studio craft and microphone technique. When I wasn’t recording I would sit behind the glass with the director and engineers watching and listening to the other actors, picking up techniques. Soon my commercial voice work became my staple diet, in 2006 I built my own studio at home .
Over the past 20 years I have voiced thousands of TV and Radio campaigns for the likes of Panasonic, Stenaline, VW, Mercedes, Pandora and Nivea. I've worked for CBBC and CITV and many other companies on animation and video games. I also do hundreds of on hold and IVR for companies like TSB, Haven and House Of Fraser.
