Talmadge has a wide range and a unique voice. She is believable and caring, authoritative and convincing, whether telling you about a service or product, sharing information or knowledge as a colleague, or relating a story as narrator or participant.


A North Carolina (U.S.) native, she is now a professional actor as well as voice-over actor in Los Angeles, having studied at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, Finch College (with Isaiah Sheffer) and Western Washington University (with Dennis Cattrell).
In CA, she has studied with Pat Fraley, Gabrielle de Cuir, Stephan Rudnicki, Nick Omana, and taken workshops at the Screen Actors Guild Conservatory at the American Film Institute with Bob Bergen, Janet Wilcox, Bill Holmes, Delores Diehl, Marc Cashman, Danny McBride, among others.


Tsunami Radio Theatre ( ongoing), 2008 Moonbeam Children's Book Award for Audiobook for narrating, "The SIgn of the Salamander", Centegra radio and tv campaign ( ongoing since '08), Sappi Paper, "Remember Me" ( animated short), "Crossing the Canyon"( animated short), Mika's Run (film), others.
She recently taught a class about audiobooks at UCLA in their Performing Arts Extension program.
