Carolyn Malfa

An approachable, adaptable American voice that reads age 20s-40s, medium pitch, and warm, clear tone. Great at the more casual and conversational for general, talking-to-a-trusted-friend advertising, but also adept at heightened, over the top characters for more niche ads or animation. A clean and trustworthy voice that is also well suited to educational/tutorial roles. Quite good with medical/scientific vernacular as well.

- private voiceover coaching with John McKinney, Pomann Sound (NYC)
- NYU Tisch School of the Arts graduate, BFA Drama, with honors

I have recorded two online spots for Quaker (one is available to view on my website), and I studied voiceover privately with John McKinney of Pomann Sound (NYC).
Additionally, I gained recording experience as a volunteer narrating textbooks for the blind & those with learning disabilities at Learning Ally (formerly Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic) in New York City.
In the acting world at large-- national tours, prominent regional theater, Off-Broadway, lead vocalist on a cruise ship, starred in a web series , internet video for American Express/Walmart

-Seasoned professional singer with a big range and stylistically versatile voice proficient in classical, musical theatre, pop and jazz styles, but my trademark vocal sound is very Disney princess-y, a warm, seamless mixed belt.
- Trained improviser; spent several years performing at one of NYC's premiere improv comedy theaters (The Magnet), and would be happy to play with/punch up certain scripts with some improv, if desired by the client.
